  1. Hello everyone

It's been a busy time here at Cards By Louise and I've noticed a trend in colours over the past few months. Here are the top 3 most ordered colours:

    1. Turquoise

    FullSizeRender (9)

    2. Baby Pink

    3. Mid Blue

The pink and blue choices are straightforward to make as I just choose card I have in stock from my all-time favourite supplier PaperMillDirect .

However, turquoise is another story. I haven't found a perfect turquoise card so I achieve the colour by brushing each letter with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, building up the shade with several applications.  And I end up with turquoise fingers!

    FullSizeRender (10)

You can buy Distress Inks from Bee Crafty  - they're on offer at the moment too (along with all sorts of other crafting goodies, including their own stamps and stencils).

I use the amazing Ink Dusters from Inkylicious .

They're great for covering larger areas of card, blending and using with stencils.

I'm off to finish some orders that need posting tomorrow.

Have a great week and I'll be back soon :)

Can you see the silver sparkle on the letters? Perfect for adding a subtle shimmer to make the card extra special.
